Allison Crawford is an Austin, Nashville, and Dallas Interior designer and founder of @hotelette – an award-winning collection of luxury short-term vacation rentals. She has been called “the poster child for chic eclectic style,” and is a self-proclaimed believer in design that creates balance between comfort and luxury, integrating the practical with the desirable. It was for these reasons and so many more that we teamed up with Allison to put together a home gifts guide exclusively for our Jewel blog. Enjoy!

Gift giving is one of my favorite hobbies. I pride myself on selecting the perfect present for family and friends. Now, I earn cash back on my purchases through Jewel and that’s a win win for everyone!
As the years go by, it’s official that I’ve turned into my mother. My first inkling was when I found myself holiday shopping year round. When I realized I enjoyed vacuuming (see below), I was sure. Now that I’m buying high end gifts for my friends, family, daughter, husband and employees, shopping for luxury holiday gifts with Jewel is paying off. Plus, it’s super easy to sign up, shop your favorite store, check out like normal, and get cash back directly.
Since I’ve been prepping all year, I wanted to share the finds I’ve been eyeing for everyone on my list (and, let’s be honest, for myself). Don’t even need to check my list twice. Shopping for others and yourself is *literally* paying off.
Abd El Kader Cire Trudon Candle from One Kings Lane
When my husband and I picked out an engagement ring from a vintage jeweler in Berlin, the shop’s owner encouraged us to select a candle from his collection of Cire Trudon as a gift from him to celebrate our engagement. We picked out Abd El Kader, a minty tobacco and tea candle, that we now joke is the signature scent of our relationship. Now, I love quizzing my friends and family on their favorite candles throughout the year, so I can surprise them with a luxury they’ll burn all throughout the new year.
I drink a lot – I mean a lot – of sparkling water. And while I may no longer be getting the signature arm workout of lugging around cases of La Croix, the SodaStream is so much friendlier to the environment and my wallet. This is a great gift for newlyweds or new homeowners that toss back sparkling water like it’s their job.
Black and white art from Design Within Reach
Art makes a space, and I definitely design rooms around a single piece of art. I love this poster from Design Within Reach because it’s perfect for a variety of design styles, from modern to transitional. I should also mention that I believe you vote and affect change through how you spend your money, so bonus points for 10% of proceeds going to organizations like Save the Children!
Picture Frame from Lulu and Georgia
Repeat after me: print your photos! We’re all sharing our special moments on social media – which I love – but I also want to be surrounded by those memories in real life. So, I’m making a concerted effort to print and frame my favorite photographs in amazing frames. I’m also trying to encourage friends + family to do the same by gifting this geometric beauty.
SMEG toaster from Bloomingdale’s
Storing our toaster between every use isn’t practical, so it lives on our counter and we stare at it every morning. I figure, if I’m going to look at it all the time, it might as well look like a piece of art, right? Right.
Walnut turntable from CB2
I’m convinced that every household needs a record player. There’s something sexy about it. Pair the unmistakable sound of vinyl with my favorite wood (walnut), and you’ve got yourself a conversation piece. Bonus points if your parents didn’t purge their collection of vinyl when Walkmans took center stage.
Dyson V8 Animal vacuum
I love my dogs. I do not love their hair. So I invested in this vacuum and have never looked back. If I’m being honest, it might be my favorite thing in the house. I love it so much that I give it as a gift. At first, recipients are bummed that I got them a vacuum (like, really?), but when they experience how much of a game changer it is, they are so grateful.
Le Creuset Salt & pepper mills from Sur La Table
Salt + Pepper mills are, ladies and gentlemen, what fancy people call salt + pepper shakers. I love giving luxe household items like Le Creuset Salt + Pepper Mills because people rarely indulge in these items, despite using them multiple times a day. Plus, when you gift high-use items like Salt + Pepper shakers, your recipients will think of you all the time.
Hayley Mitchell Art from One Kings Lane
Let me introduce you to one of my favorite artists and gal pal, Hayley Mitchell. She’s an Austin-based mother of four who is as prolific and talented as they come. Her portfolio of work is incredibly broad and works for a variety of different interior styles. Plus, the acrylic frames are so good.
Throw from One Kings Lane
Can you have enough throws? Obviously not. And since you can’t ever have enough pink, this soft pink throw makes the perfect gift. If you’re friends are feeling bold, go for this golden alpaca option instead! Yellow, particularly mustard yellow, is having a major moment right now.
