In The Spotlight: Orleans + Winder

Detroit based boutique Orleans + Winder showcases luxury, modern fashion with a focus on design in small batches, bringing timeless pieces with an art centric focus to the city known for manufacturing.

Summer Dress by Serienumerica

Located in the heart of the city’s historic Eastern Market, the name comes from the cross streets where the idea was born. Founder Erin Wetzel’s passion for quality, old world production techniques, sustainability, and changing the status quo of the industry from fast fashion to patient design, inspires us. Redefining the meaning of luxury fashion and the luxury experience is at the core of Jewel.

Orleans + Winder Founder, Erin Wetzel

The mission of Orleans +Winder is to work with designers and artists focused on sustainable practices, whether they are working locally in Michigan or their own regions, while implementing the lost art of handmade and old world techniques. This artistry is evident at every turn in the small shop. From Hvnter Gvtherer’s newest homewares, to jewelry from Parts of Four, to the delicate scarves of Studio Variously, the collective is carefully curated by Erin to offer her clients a timeless selection.

Tapping into her own form of self expression, Erin recently launched the O+W collection for spring. The capsule consists of 5 interchangeable, gender fluid pieces, designed in Detroit. The minimalist aesthetic and neutral color palette steers far from seasonal trends and is the epitome of what Orleans + Winder represents.
