JEWEL x INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

Nothing will stop us from celebrating women every day, but on this International Women’s Day, we want to give an extra special shout out to a few of our femme retailers. Whether they are women-run or founded, philanthropic powerhouses, or pioneers in womenswear, Jewel is proud to spread the word on these amazing businesses.

Diane Von Furstenberg
Besides achieving near royal status in American fashion, Diane Von Furstenberg is a living legend who continues to impact the fashion industry. Since launching her brand in the 1970’s with the iconic wrap dress, she has been influencing women’s style and attitudes, all over the world. Diane continues to empower women in the workforce by serving on the Vital Voices board, an organization that supports female entrepreneurs around the world.

M.M. LaFLeur
Women’s workwear brand, MM. LaFleur recently launched Ready to Run, a program that will offer clothing loans to women running for public office on the federal, state or local level, completely free of charge. We vote, YES! But wait, they’ve taken it a step further – each woman will also have access to a free in-house stylist, courtesy of the brand. M.M. LaFleur, we salute you!

Outdoor Voices
On a mission to “get the world moving,” Outdoor Voices has inspired many to start doing more. From the start, founder Tyler Haney wanted to inspire people to let go of the expectation to perform and just have fun with friends. It most certainly helps that this recreational brand creates some of the comfiest, most stylish playground pieces, all the while making decisions that will limit environmental impact. OV and Jewel…so happy together!

Brooks Brothers
Largely recognized for its dedication to menswear, it may surprise you that Brooks Brothers has also been a leader for women’s attire in the workforce. Back in the days of postwar fashion, women were found responsible for a surprising surge in sales of the men’s pink oxford shirts. Brooks Brothers immediately partnered with Vogue magazine to create a version that honored the original, yet was tailored specifically for women. Since then, they have remained dedicated to creating quality collections that offer women choices in classic styles under the leadership of the current creative director, Zac Posen.

Tory Burch
Tory Burch has spent her lifetime creating high-fashion collections inspired by her love of color and travel. Now, as a fully-fledged global powerhouse, the company has turned much of its focus to the Tory Burch Foundation, which empowers women entrepreneurs by providing access to capital, education and digital resources. A philosophy of family first and helping women advance everywhere has always been at the core of this fashion brand and we love it!

Thirdlove
Developed from the real measurements of millions of women, Thirdlove has revolutionized the intimate’s market with sizes and shapes for all women. With simple details, ultra-soft fabrics, and exclusive half-sizes, women are starting to find the right fit after years of being uncomfortable. We’ve previously posted about the genius of their online fit test and will continue to spread the love for this innovative brand.
